Corporate
Games Worldwide is the creation of company president Barbara J.
Fulmer, a noted training expert and author of the forthcoming
book, What Makes Jack a Dull Corporate Boy?
Corporate
Games Worldwide is a response to a vacuum created by traditional
meeting and training formats. Ms. Fulmer and the Corporate Games
staff have presided over literally thousands of meetings as well
as poste mortem research conducted among meeting participants.
From these studies, several key problems emerged. The foremost
problem being boredom, a direct consequence of which is inattention
and poor retention of information presented. Worse, bored participants
often develop resentment toward the hosting entity for subjecting
them to what they consider an unpleasant experience.
Play
works harder.
After
exploring and discarding meeting formats that produced poor results,
one technique stood out - play. Play has always been Nature's
teacher; now it's finding enthusiastic supporters within the corporate
world, because it delivers proven, measurable results.
